La Vega Pink Bourbon

A Partnership Rooted in Women-Led Coffee

La Vega Pink Bourbon marks an important milestone for Sagro Farms. As our first coffee release from Colombia, this project represents more than a new origin—it reflects our growing commitment to supporting women-led coffee operations and elevating the voices of women throughout the coffee value chain.

Rather than simply sourcing coffee, Sagro Farms is proud to partner directly with the Taborda Rojas family and Paisa Coffee to bring this exceptional coffee to the United States. Through this collaboration, we are helping create opportunities for women producers while building long-term relationships that strengthen coffee-growing communities across Colombia.

This release is the beginning of a broader effort by Sagro Farms to support women farmers, women entrepreneurs, and women-led agricultural businesses throughout our global network. We believe that meaningful impact starts with intentional partnerships, transparency, and ensuring that the people behind the coffee are recognized and celebrated.

Grown at approximately 1,800 meters above sea level in Amagá, Antioquia, La Vega is a Pink Bourbon varietal cultivated by the Taborda Rojas Family. The coffee undergoes a meticulous semi-washed anaerobic fermentation process, including 72 hours of anaerobic fermentation followed by 12 hours of traditional fermentation before being sun-dried for 15 days.

The result is a vibrant and elegant cup that reflects both the care of the producers and the unique conditions of the Colombian highlands.

About La Vega

Finca La Vega was established in 1992 by Jairo Taborda and Stella Rojas, who purchased a small parcel of land high in the mountains of Antioquia after beginning their life together. Both were raised in coffee-growing families, continuing a tradition that spans three generations.

Today, the farm is home to approximately 13,000 coffee trees and remains a true family operation. Their daughter, Yolima Rojas, has become a driving force in expanding opportunities for Colombian coffee producers through her work with Paisa Coffee, helping connect family farms and specialty coffee buyers while championing the contributions of women throughout the industry.

Every bag of La Vega Pink Bourbon represents a partnership built on quality, sustainability, and a shared belief that the future of coffee should create opportunities for the people who make it possible.
